It is very pretty -- actually a darker cobalt and mixed blue... very artistically designed... we eat organic turkey bacon which has probably less fat then regular bacon, so it works fine for us. I do cover the turkey bacon with a half paper towel while it is cooking in the microwave and I have started putting a half paper towel slightly moistened under the stoneware cooker mug... avoids extra clean-up... I can fit four slices of turkey bacon around the top and in my microwave, it takes about 6 minutes. I then do 4 more slices and it works well. I am extremely pleased with this product -- not only is it a thing of beauty, it works really well!!!
